
Graveside services for Dessie Olene (Bell) Pollock of Longview, formerly of Henderson, will be held at Crims Chapel Cemetery on December 4, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Keith Lybrand officiating, under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home. Mrs. Pollock was born December 26, 1925 in Thornton, Texas to Fletcher Allen Bell and Rena Fenner Bell. She was married for 68 years to James Duncan Pollock prior to his death on November 3, 2013. During World WarrII she worked as a secretary in a defense plant in Dallas while her husband served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. Henderson, Texas was her hometown from 1951 until 2005 when she moved to Longview. She was employed by Dr. Hugh M. Phillips, DVM, for 11 years and Emmett Gibson Electric Service for 20 years as a bookkeeper and office manager. Mrs. Pollock was preceded in death by her father, Fletcher Bell, her mother, Rena Bell, infant daughter, Susan Ann Pollock, and husband, James Duncan Pollock. Survivors include son, James D. Pollock, Jr. and daughter-in-law Hettie of Longview; grandsons, Tim Pollock and spouse, Kristen of Springfi eld, Virginia and Mark Pollock and spouse, Vicky of Greenwich, Connecticut; and recently born great-granddaughter, Madeline Elise of Greenwich, Connecticut. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Benson Pollock and sister-inlaw, Lyndell Pollock of Austin, Texas; nephews Norm and Mark Pollock and their wives and children. Mrs. Pollock was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Henderson. The family wishes to thank the staff at Treviso Transitional Care.
